Your Turning-65 Medicare Timeline
This page builds a dated, month-by-month plan for the year you turn 65. Enter your birth month and year — and the day, if you can — and it produces five steps in order: six months out (list your doctors, prescriptions and pharmacies; open a my Social Security account; and either sketch a budget or, if you are still working, ask whether the employer's drug coverage is creditable), the month your enrollment window opens, your birthday month, the closing months, and what happens after the window shuts. A marker shows which step the calendar is on today.
One switch changes the checklist: tell it you will still have active employer coverage at 65 and the steps cover delaying Part B and the eight-month Special Enrollment Period that follows — noting COBRA and retiree coverage do not count.
It needs a birth month and year; the day is optional but matters, because being born on the first moves the whole window a month earlier. Nothing else is required to see your timeline.
Below the results sit three optional captures: a form that emails your dates and the enrollment guide (first and last name, phone, email and ZIP are all required, plus a veteran checkbox) and consents to an advisor call, a checklist download, and a short email course. The consent language and Medicare disclaimer are shown.
This is an educational estimate of dates. It does not quote premiums, compare plans, check whether your doctors are covered, or enroll you — enrollment happens through Social Security.
