Life Insurance for Veterans: VGLI, Final Expense and VA Burial Benefits

This is a life insurance page for veterans, not a Medicare page. It gathers three things veterans in the Orlando and Altamonte Springs area often ask about together: what VA pays toward burial, what Veterans' Group Life Insurance costs as you age, and how final expense life insurance works.

A table shows VA's burial allowance amounts, read from VA.gov and dated on the page: the allowances for a death that was not service-connected, the maximum for a service-connected death before and after September 11, 2001, and the headstone or marker allowance. For a death that was not service-connected, VA pays only in certain cases, such as when the Veteran was receiving VA compensation or pension, and VA decides eligibility.

A second table shows VA's own monthly VGLI premiums by age band and amount of coverage, linked to VA.gov. It notes that VGLI can be converted to a permanent policy without proving good health, and that VGLI cannot be applied for again later.

The page explains final expense coverage in general terms. It quotes no premium and does not tell you whether you qualify; each carrier sets the price through underwriting. IM65 is not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

An optional callback form reaches a licensed advisor who works with life insurance, and the page lists veteran articles about life insurance.
